Palmer Sports Council provided full medical and chiropractic services at the finish line of Cal Bearathon 2009. The majority of the triathletes were college athletes, but we did have one our very own, Adam Meisenhelder, participate in the race.  It started off very chilly as our first patient sought medical attention for hypothermia.  It also rained in the morning so we tended to several cases of road rash. Our chiropractic treatments included stretching and lots of soft tissue work.  Our clinician, Dr. Capo, also held "break-out sessions" throughout the day so he could share with us additional insight and skills that will make us better doctors.  It was a great event to get hands-on experience, as well as soaking up some knowledge.
